Wuts up mr2 junky's

Postby luckytodie on Sat Jul 17, 2010 12:36 pm

Well i finally got me an mr2 except shes got issues... i picked up (spoolin's) red mr2 she gets hot. Ive gone threw and read some of his posts so ill spare yall the problems. However i found the fans to be working intermitenly so for now there are hardwired to a switch untill i get the car to quite getting hot then i go back and spend time on getting them to work properly. There is no oil in the coolent no coolent in the oil. Deffinatly a boatload of corrosion in the cooling system tho :( . Head gasket is gone is my guess altho the oil isn't mixing the back of the block is cover on the driver side of the car with oil so today im getting new head studs and head gasket and going to replace it hopefully the gasket is causing my overheating problems. Any insite from local members would be grately appriciated i love the little car already and havent even been able to really drive it i can only imagine once i can really run her. Thanx again

that was also my guess. i email him telling that it might be a leak in the head gasket.

i hope i can the head came back tonight from the machine shop from being decked correctly and deburred around the valves new felpro gaskets and headstuds are waiting on top of my tool box. Now to squeeze time in my day of working two jobs to get the thing put back together. Next time ill drop the whole rear subframe motor and suspension before just pulling the head from the top wut a pain lol. Hopefully by sun. evening she will be put back together and running ill post updates on the overheating issue. i really hope this fixes it. im outa options other than a cracked block if this dosent fix it. :| i have hope i seems im the first to show this car some true love in a very long time.
