MR2 Lights

Postby VAGperformance on Wed Jul 21, 2010 4:21 am

I was wondering if anyone had a comprehensive list of the codes for all the lights on the MR2, part number type things.

From what i've gathered, after several hours of finding projector conversions and low-rise conversion, etc. Is that I need to order a 200mm H4 conversion to replace the sealed headlights (though i'd like their part number) as well as get H4 bulbs. What's not clear is if any wiring is then involved or do H4 bulbs work and just need a new housing?

Then for the fog lights, it looks like I need to get H3? capsules, and if I want them to be yellow I can order lexus ones (yellow is better for fog)... So maybe get the Hella E-Code H4 conversion with a 4300k HID kit and then new fog light capsules so I can rejuvenate the 20 year old lights on the front of the turbo...

Last question, anybody know what type of light bulbs we need for all the interior/trunk lights?

Sorry for all the questions, it took me quite a bit of searching just to realize i'd have to replace the entire head lamp. I'd like to get the dual Hella setup from Twosrus but almost $800 is a bit much.

You are on the right track, h4 conversion for headlamps and h3 for fogs. I would suggest the autopal h4 housings. I believe they are around $40 and provide a great beam pattern and accept h4 bulbs. You shouldn't have to mess with any wiring either. As far as interior lights, check out the group buy on mr2oc by garage1217. He knows just about all the interior lights available.

I am interested, when's the next big Houston meet? I may try to come down and get them in person if you'll be there.
